Welcome 4th Grade Band!!!

We are glad that you are finally part of the CSS Bands!

Fourth grade band focuses on developing and displaying a greater understanding of the fundamentals of music, and what it means to play as an ensemble.  Recorders and Boomwhackers are the chosen instruments for this class.

Recorders

Did U Know?

The recorder has been around since medieval times.  Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen are just a few musicians who can play the recorder!

Boomwhackers

Did U Know?

The idea for boomwhackers started with the empty cardboard roll from someones gift wrap!  They did what any of us would do... hit someone with the tube, it made a cool sound, and the rest was history!
