Brent Moorhead (aka Mr. Mo or MoMo) is a graduate of the Dana School of Music located on the campus of Youngstown State University. Founded more than 135 years ago, Dana is one of the oldest music schools in the United States. Mr. Moorhead received both his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education from YSU. His main instrument is the saxophone; however, he has also studied the bassoon and baritone. Before moving to Colorado and finding CSS, Mr. Moorhead taught for 8 years in the Canfield Local School District. While in Canfield Middle School, Mr. Mo taught 4th grade general music, 5th grade band, 6th grade band, 7th & 8th grade combined concert band, and 7th & 8th grade music appreciation classes. As the Canfield High School band director, he was responsible for HS music theory, CHS Symphonic & Concert bands, a 97 member pep band, and a 178 member marching band. Here at CSS, Mr. Mo's classes incude: 4th grade band, 5th grade band, MS band, US band, US music appreciation, and the Pep band.

Mr. Mo grew up in Youngstown Ohio, which is located in northeast Ohio (halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, also halfway between Chicago and New York). At one time Youngstown was full of steel mills, but most have now been removed. Youngstown is also home to Mill Creek park (one of the biggest and most natural inner-city parks in the United States).

Mr. Moorhead's parents continue to live in Youngstown, but his younger sister and her family live here in Colorado Springs.
Ohio is also home to Cedar Point (the roller coaster capital of the world)!

In my spare time...
I try to live life to the fullest with family and friends! I enjoy traveling, so I've been in most of the States. My favorite road trip song is "Life is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane. I've also been to Canada, Mexico (yes, they are other countries), England, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Japan, and China! Next on my list of places yet to see: Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, and Madagascar!
The Great Wall of China!
I also enjoy the Pittsburgh Steelers, the month of March, going to the gym, video games, drawing; and getting to snowboard, hike, and 4 wheel in the amazing Colorado Rockies!
