They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and they belong to various families within the ensemble! Instruments can also be classified into different categories based on the way they produce their sound! Below is your first assignment based on our class discussions. Finish the worksheet and then e-mail it to me at bmoorhead@css.org.
In class,we are beginning to study Beethoven's 5th Symphony and the different types of musical form. This assignment will help to reinforce those ideas that we are discussing. Make sure you give yourself time to look over the diagrams, read, AND listen to the examples (on Sonata Form)! Once you have made your way through these activities, watch the video on Mozart's symphony. Last (but not least), click on the link to the review questions.
